Having attended eight Olympics as a fan and marketer, I’ve witnessed legends like Usain Bolt, Simone Biles, and Michael Phelps. The memories I cherish most are the shared experiences—agonizing upsets, unexpected victories, and friendships formed while watching athletes push their limits. The Olympics are also a powerful platform for brand activations. Some brands create thoughtful experiences, while others simply aim to be present. Authentic, relevant campaigns represent a gold mine for influencer marketing. Here are ways creators can play a significant role: Understand the Ethos The Olympic motto, "Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together," emphasizes unity. This global event is about celebrating achievements, embracing heartbreaks, and sharing cultures. Creators can uniquely reflect and build on these shared experiences. On the Ground  Creators on the ground capture real-time vibes, fashion trends, and memorable moments, bringing consumers as close to the event as possible. Their engagement helps convey the energy synonymous with the Olympics. Close to Home For those watching from afar, creators share thoughts and connect each moment to niche social communities, uniting audiences.
