I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to share the Canvs AI perspective as part of the recent ESOMAR AI tech showcase, but honestly the best part of the program was the panel of super-impressive brand insights leaders discussing the "real world" adoption of AI technology for insights. The panel was led by Vesna Hajnšek from SWAROVSKI, and included Jennifer Lee from The Estée Lauder Companies, Kendra Speed from Linkedin, Elise Misse from Ricola, Adam Deis from Microsoft. The discussion brought to mind a recent report from Market Research Institute International that nicely captures what I've started calling the "promise and peril" of generative AI for insights. I loved hearing the spirit of experimentation in the discuss and view our role as technology providers to empower leaders like these to unlock the promise and mitigate the peril. At its best, software tools are an embodiment of a best practice. This is incredibly important as brand navigate the front end of technology adoption waves, particularly as organizations seek to de-risk experimentation as much as possible.
