It’s hard to imagine a more deserving recipient for this award. Dr. Ethan Basch's seminal work in Remote Symptom Monitoring has demonstrated what we've long suspected: by providing continuous care to patients between office visits, we can alleviate suffering, reduce costs, and significantly improve outcomes. His innovation is foundational to Canopy's thesis—that continuous care can and should be the standard for every person with cancer. Thank you, Dr. Ethan Basch, for your tremendous contributions to cancer research and care.

June is National #CancerSurvivor Month, honoring those who are in remission or are currently facing a cancer diagnosis. As of 2022, there are 18.1 million survivors in the US. By 2040, it is estimated that the number of survivors will reach 26 million. Most survivors (69%) have lived at least 5 years since diagnosis, and 18% have surpassed 20 years. Cancer #survivorshipresearch is crucial, especially research focused on long-term health, psychosocial well-being, and addressing health disparities. Many survivors endure challenges like cardiac issues, chronic pain, and financial toxicity. Survivorship research aims to improve quality of life. In honor of #NationalCancerSurvivorMonth, support cancer survivors by advocating for research. The impact of cancer doesn’t end at remission.
