The Cannabis Research Coalition is a member-driven organization dedicated to cannabis cultivation research.
About us
Founded in 2021 by Dr. Allison Justice. The Cannabis Research Coalition (CRC) partners with academia and cannabis industry stakeholders to advance the exploration of the cannabis plant. Their mission is to implement science-based research to develop sustainable, efficient, and profitable cultivation techniques. The CRC combines the resources of cannabis industry stakeholders—including individuals and businesses—to fund academic research that provides practical answers to industry challenges. Our cooperative research model, inspired by successful horticulture and greenhouse research collaborations, allows members to benefit from pooled resources, gaining access to cutting-edge, science-based research at a fraction of the cost. By partnering with colleagues, collaborators, and sometimes competitors, our members stay at the forefront of production know-how.

Such an incredibly difficult structure to study even with a high powered microscope. As discussed by other researchers, (ZAMIR PUNJA) amber trichomes are a result of maturity. It is proposed that maturity means oxidation of the metabolites within the gland. But, oxidation doesn’t necessarily mean the gland has been mechanically damaged and exposed to oxygen. This can also be a chemical change within which at some point will degrade the cannabinoids. Photo credit: Cannabis Research Coalition

BIG NEWS COMING SOON!!! Cannabis Research Coalition is expanding! 😅 As one of the only global #CannabisCultivationResearch orgs we stand a the brink of new innovation, technologies, and efficient growing protocols/methods that are immediatly applicable to the #growers. We are looking for new #members to financially support the needed research! If you want to learn more about what we do, why membership matters and how to get involved- DM me and let’s talk shop. There are plenty of universities also doing cultivation research but it’s discovery work that is not immediately applicable to growers and due to limited funding and academia limitations/restrictions it’s often a slow process Most importantly the industry is not involved much in the academic research- we work directly with some of the worlds largest growers to understand their direct needs to direct our research priorities, this is incredibly valuable! Our team and current members have the experience and arsenal of resources to support the industry’s ever changing needs. We hope to hear from you! Www.cannabisrc.org Allison Justice, PhD. Did you catch us in Forbes last week with our #Research partners The Network of Applied Pharmacognosy, Controlled Chemistry, DaySavers and Custom Cones USA??? 🥳🤩 If you haven’t heard about our two-year #SOS study, here’s a brief overview: We are researching ways to improve the quality and safety of smoking #cannabis by aligning with consumer preferences. Our goal is to reduce/fine tune #cultivation inputs to produce a cleaner, less harmful smokable product while still ensuring a good yield/weight, cannabinoid content, #terpene profile, #monoterpenes, pest & disease resistance and optimal #postharvest for growers. A big shout to all of our sponsors making this possible!
