On Monday the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs alongside Lt. Governor Driscoll, Secretary Tepper, and Commissioner Mahony announced the 2nd round of funding under the Affordable Housing Decarbonization Grant Program which I administer. Across the two rounds of funding the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has made over $50 million in grant funding to decarbonize, electrify, deep energy retrofit, and preserve over 1,300 affordable housing units across Massachusetts, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by over 675 annual mtons of CO2e. The Healey-Driscoll administration also announced an additional $40 million in funding for my Affordable Housing Decarbonization Grant program that will be used to further decarbonize and preserve Massachusetts' affordable housing stock. Congratulations to the 2nd round project awardees!
