We’re thrilled to celebrate the successful second year of the SUU/BZI Youth Engineering Academy Summer Camps! In partnership with Southern Utah University's College of Engineering and Computational Sciences, we provided immersive exercises that encourage creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving. Our leaders also volunteered as teachers, sharing real-world experience and innovative methods. The impact has been incredible: - Participation grew by 650% in just one year! - The camp duration was extended from two to six weeks. - 34% of participants were girls, nearly twice the national average for female graduates in STEM. - 53% of female attendees were between the ages of five to seven. Our campers engaged in building robots, 3D printing, laser cutting, computer programming, and more. “We hope that through our support, students of the camps will become future innovators who bring new breakthrough discoveries and create more industry and life-enhancing developments for our world,” James Barlow, CEO of BZI. We’re proud to contribute to the future of engineering and to see such a heightened interest among our youth. #Engineering #STEM #Innovation #YouthPrograms #BZI #SUU
