About us

The vision of the Black Student Pharmacist Organization (BSPO) is to revolutionize pharmacy education by championing inclusivity and diversity. BSPO is a 501(c)3 organization that was founded on February 19, 2019 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) and supports three chapters at universities across the United States: UMKC, the University of Georgia, and Virginia Commonwealth University. At BSPO, we advocate for fair admissions policies, support diversity initiatives, offer scholarships, foster networking opportunities, and expand our impact to universities nationwide. Our ultimate goal is to create a future where the pharmacy profession is marked by equity and excellence.
