We’re excited to introduce Kevin Stephens. Kevin is an incredible asset to our team, with 30 years of experience with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. His wealth of experience and commitment to the future of public safety help us train officers around the country to safely and effectively employ Lemur 2. Thank you for everything you do, Kevin! Read more about Kevin’s experience: "I am a retired police officer from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. I retired with 30 years of service from this agency. I am grateful for all the opportunities I had to have personally worked alongside so many professional officers, supervisors, trainers, and support staff who taught me not only how to do my job but how to do it with excellence. During my career, I had assignments as a Patrol Officer, Training Officer in the Police Academy, Gang Unit Detective, and Operator on our full-time SWAT team. I had various assignments on the team. These positions were Entry man, Explosive Breacher, and Assistant Team Leader. While serving on the SWAT team, I have responded to many armed and unarmed barricaded subjects who were in open field areas, structures, and vehicles. I have responded to hostage situations and active shooter incidents. I was the Assistant Team Leader on the night of the Mass Shooting incident in Las Vegas. It was shortly after this mass shooting that we began to utilize the Lemur aircraft in our tactical operations. We began using the aircraft in various tactical situations, giving our team leaders and commanders real-time intelligence to best de-escalate many dangerous and critical situations. I saw firsthand how the Lemur aircraft could locate, isolate, and communicate with subjects involved in these tactical situations. While I was serving at the police department, I had the privilege of working with many tenured and professional Instructors, who helped me become an instructor in various police-related disciplines. I then continued my education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where I received bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. After retiring, I joined BRINC Drones in April 2021 as the Director of Training. Since working at BRINC, I have met many incredibly talented and educated professionals who make things happen. We have designed multiple lesson plans to assist police officers in learning how to pilot indoor tactical aircraft and how to use the various inflight options to best resolve a dangerous situation. Over the past three years, my team and I at BRINC have had the privilege of training hundreds of officers in the United States and in 10 countries. We have equipped both new and experienced pilots with the skills to safely and effectively use the Lemur Aircraft system. It has been a source of great pride to work alongside the many talented employees at BRINC Drones and see the impact of our training on public safety."
