Labor is the single biggest expense for most warehouses, accounting for 65% of opex on average. 💡By not optimizing your biggest expense through #automation, you are automatically putting yourself at a long-term cost disadvantage to competitors. 👉 Automating labor-intensive tasks like picking, packing, and sorting can significantly reduce operating costs and increase margins. Discover how else not automating can hurt your business by reading the full blog (link in comments).

Funny how the main application for humanoids today is moving totes and placing them onto conveyors... Why not just install mobile #robots that can already do that and save 100s of thousands of $? 🤔 Adoption for #technology sake instead of ROI generates early excitement but often fades just as quickly. Already hearing rumors that some big humanoid players are struggling to sign on new paying customers. Will be interesting to see how the current pilots / small-scale humanoid installations scale in the next 1-3 years (and how patient investors will be in the meantime). #alittleprovocative

Last week Lukas M. Ziegler visited one of our installations in Germany and saw 68 Brightpick Dispatcher #robots consolidating grocery orders for knuspr.de🥐 Brightpick Dispatcher enables companies to fully automate post-pick order consolidation, buffer and dispatch. They are ideal for grocers, medical and B2B distributors that need to consolidate large orders consisting of multiple totes or small cases before dispatch. #supplychain #logistics

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗿 = 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 Conveyors are great for moving products and eliminating travel, but what happens when they break down? If even a small part of the conveyor breaks down, the entire line usually has to stop, causing delays across the whole operation. This can create a backlog of orders and negatively impact customer satisfaction, especially in a market where customers always expect to get orders on time. Most automated fulfillment solutions rely on conveyors at some stage, typically to transport orders from G2P stations to packout or outbound. But relying on conveyors means accepting a single point of failure in your warehouse. That's why when developing Brightpick, we made it a priority to eliminate the need for conveyors. That's why each of our #robots carries its own order tote, delivering picked orders directly to packout or dispatch. This also allows our robots to autonomously consolidate and sort orders, eliminating another common use case for conveyors. Time to rethink your approach to #automation?
