Our team had an absolute blast hosting last week's LGBTQ mixer in SF! 🧡 Our aim was to foster meaningful connections and provide a platform for shared, relatable conversations on the tech sector—and to recognize and celebrate the remarkable contributions of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The event was organized and hosted by Kaleidoscope @ Brex, a community focused on creating an inclusive environment in which individuals can be authentic and proud of their achievements. Check out the highlights below!

It was an absolute honor to host Season 1 of Brex's Controllers Classified podcast. Before I take my summer break from the pod, I wanted to highlight some key themes and insights from our incredible guests. - Ronald W. Cook and Sowmya Ranganathan both touched on AI in accounting. Sowmya noted that AI could be the breakthrough that finally frees accounting teams from all the tedious manual work we all do, and Ron reminded us that the human touch is still very necessary when using AI for data analysis. And speaking of emerging technology, Sean Soper highlighted his POV on the future of blockchain in accounting. - Lindsey Oshita and Angelina Hendraka covered how to build efficient and robust accounting processes. Lindsey highlighted how to think about the integration of accounting functions post-merger while Angelina discussed why a strong procurement function is key to unlocking more strategic spending. - Katie Slattery and Barrett Daniels underscored the important role that accounting teams play as companies get IPO ready. In the wise words of Katie, if a company is getting ready to IPO, accounting cannot be the blocker. - Finally, Sarah Hinkfuss and Eugene Spevakov rounded out our season by giving us a deep dive on the macroeconomic landscape through their perspectives - a VC considering investment opportunities and a Treasurer looking to manage risk respectively. We will be back with Season 2 in the Fall. In the meantime, you can find all of our Season 1 episodes here! https://lnkd.in/e-Db5HhX

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us at the Brex + Inkle Fundraising and Finance Mixer last week! With over 130 founders in attendance, we delved into the critical fundamentals of fundraising, finance operating excellence in startups, and community-led growth. 🚀 💪 Extra special thanks to our panelists, Anand Krishna (CEO of Inkle), Sheel Mohnot (GP at Better Tomorrow Ventures), and Jason Mok (Head of Startups and Strategic Partnerships at Brex)—and to our own Head of Accounting & CFO Partnerships, Anshul Shah, for moderating.

Whoever works with me knows I am obsessed with our customers' experience. This is how I became a better operator, risk manager, and business leader. Every time something doesn’t meet our standards for solving customer issues, we dive deep to figure out why — and make sure it doesn’t happen again. Yes, I still read every NPS detractor or negative CSAT comment. Really, though, while we strive to offer the best support on the planet, the best experience is not to contact support at all. This was top of mind when we launched Brex 3.0, an operating model refocused on our core commitment—our customers—and making only the best products for them. In building it, we wanted to solve problems before they became one. After ~6 months of hard work across Brex as a whole, I’m proud to say it’s working. Now more than ever, even with a growing user base, we’re seeing consistently declining of support cases. I'm sharing with you all what we just reviewed in last month's Customer Pulse internal report. I’m incredibly proud of the results we’re already seeing and excited to keep building!
