  • In March of 2024, Peralta Elementary School celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony, marking the beginning of a new era. With a rich history dating back to 1947, the school has been providing academic education to students from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. By the fall of 2025, the students will have the opportunity to attend a cutting-edge school, thanks to the partnership with Dekker Perich Sabatini, along with many other subcontractors. These partnerships are set to transform the school, empowering student growth and making it one of the most advanced schools in the community. • Bradbury Stamm once again had the pleasure of partnering with Junior Achievement of New Mexico to help high schoolers learn about potential career paths. We had the pleasure of showing a class of 21 Freshman from Manzano High School the unique and exciting roles in construction available before taking them on a site visit at Truman Middle School. We hope through programs like this we can help inspire the next generation of construction professionals who will build New Mexico! #achievementunlocked #constructionindustry

  • The Bradbury Team had the pleasure of attending the student exhibitions at ACE Leadership High School recently. The event was a showcase of the hard work and dedication put forth by the students, who demonstrated not only their mastery of skills and content but also their ability to complete complex projects. It was truly inspiring to see how much effort and passion the students put into their work, and we were honored to be a part of such a wonderful event. #leadershipgrowth #learningexperience #mentorshipmatters

Bradbury Stamm has been building our community for 100 years. To help celebrate, we wanted to share some of our history. From 1967 through the 1970s, launched an aggressive Urban Renewal Program. Afraid that much of Albuquerque's rich architectural heritage was being lost forever, the city conducted a Historic Landmarks Survey. This resulted in Bradbury & Stamm's leading role in saving and renovating the First National Bank Building, the original Hilton Hotel/La Posada, the State Building, the State Theater and the KiMo Theater. The KiMo Theater was originally built in 1927. A Tiwa Indian word, KiMo means "king of its kind." That's exactly what the theater was, with its grand interiors of tile, murals, vigas and bird-motif wrought iron railings. Bradbury & Stamm renovated the old theater, with the company's architectural millwork division recreating the old-time feel of the place through expertly crafted carpentry details. As a strong supporter of local culture and quality of life, the KiMo, the La Posada and the First National Bank Building renovations were among the jobs of which Stamm was most proud.

Bradbury Stamm has been building our community for 100 years. To help celebrate, we wanted you to meet one of our founders – Robert Stamm. At the end of WWII, OG Bradbury's future son-in-law (he'd marry Florrie Stamm) - a young Naval officer - returned home to Albuquerque. A civil engineering graduate of UNM, he went to work for Bradbury in 1946. In 1958, Stamm was named a partner and the company incorporated, changing its name to Bradbury & Stamm Construction Company, Inc. Stamm was an innovative thinker who propelled both the company and the industry forward. He was more of a risk-taker than the studious Bradbury. As a result, Bradbury & Stamm was one of the first contractors in the Southwest to solicit negotiated work rather than just respond to bids, to provide detailed cost histories for projects, to computerize systems, to organize work into an estimator/project manager team structure, and to take a more active role in developing client relationships. Stamm worked to improve the industry, was an advocate for education and was extremely dedicated to our community. Stamm passed away on December 14, 2014, at the age of 93. His legacy of quality, doing what is right by our clients, and integrity remain.

Bradbury Stamm has been building our community for 100 years. To help celebrate, we wanted to share some of our history. In 1940 the US Army Air Corps designated Albuquerque as a service station for military planes. A little more than a hundred buildings needed to be built to provide housing and workspace for officers, enlisted men and their attaché. Bradbury Stamm (then Bradbury & Marchant) constructed 104 buildings in seven months. This was the job of which our founder O.G. Bradbury was most proud. Every subcontractor except one remained on the job until completion, despite the stress of the fast-track timeline and military supervision. Crews worked 10-hour days, and superintendents spent another two to three hours in the evening going over changes with the Army Corps of Engineers.

Bradbury Stamm has been building our community for 100 years. To help celebrate, we wanted you to meet one of our founders - Orval Grant (OG) Bradbury. OG Bradbury was a trained carpenter and millwright, who began O.G. Bradbury in 1923 after serving in a Navy construction unit during World War I. He was known for his low-key style, razor-sharp memory, attention to meticulous quality and impeccable integrity. He passed away in 1984, a little before his 95th birthday. A long-time employee once described Bradbury as a walking encyclopedia of Albuquerque construction. Well into his 80s, he could drive around Albuquerque and give an historical account of every job, not only that he ever did, but that his competitors did as well. One building after another, he would rattle off when it was built, who built it, the time of year it was built, how much it cost, whether or not it was profitable, and who it was built for.
