This week, Bouldering Project announced the addition of Kevin Jorgeson, to its leadership team. Jorgeson, a globally recognized climber for his ascent of El Capitan’s Dawn Wall, will take on the role of Head of Product, where he will oversee climbing, yoga, fitness, community building, and programming. Observing the impact of experts like Kevin in roles at gyms and wellness centers, including The Bouldering Project, is fascinating. It reflects a trend where fitness and wellness spaces are not just about physical activities but are evolving into communities of inspiration and learning. These collaborations with seasoned pros are reshaping the industry, offering experiences that go beyond the conventional, and deeply engaging those who partake in them. After watching The Dawn Wall, which I urge you to watch tonight if you haven’t seen it yet, you’ll grasp the sheer determination and spirit embodied in climbing. Kevin’s journey is not just a tale of conquering a rock face; it’s about conquering inner fears and limitations. We just finished up cutting parts for 101 volumes for Bouldering Project, Tempe Climbing Gym. These are going to be assembled and coated by another shop and then installed on the walls by the talented route setters. These are not standard volumes, there are crazy angles and many sides, ranging from tiny to huge. 101 volumes made out of 738 unique parts, all individually programmed and labeled. #cnc #climbinggym #tempe #projecthighlight

One of the most unique and unexpected joys of running Eck Hall is the relationship with our next-door neighbor, Bouldering Project.  We’ve had the opportunity to partner on several events together (and rely on one another countless times for supplies).  Not too often do you see a gallery/event space and a rock-climbing gym teaming up but we love it. This weekend happens to be one of our most exciting partnerships yet, a vendor village comprised of an eclectic array of makers and artists for DC's Art All Night.  For those in the NoMa area this Saturday night, come check us out.
