Our BCVA team had the privilege of attending an event in DC with our good friends from Veteran Coalition International to pay tribute to military and veterans from around the globe! We were honored to meet with servicemen and women from Ukraine, the Netherlands, Japan, and Canada, as well as NATO representatives, ROYALTY from Denmark, and the former president of Croatia. These leaders took the time to thank our international alliances and allies for continued support, and honored the wounded Ukrainian veterans in the room. They highlighted the importance of our international counterparts fighting together, but also HEALING together. - spotlighting Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors and honoring the Gold Star families that were present and representing the organization.

It's a lesson that has been spoken in every language. It lives in every story passed down through every generation of every culture around the world. We never know what we are truly capable of until we meet obstacles that challenge us to overcome the things we once thought we couldn't.

We have loved our partnership with A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation through the years. This case study demonstrates how the Clark Foundation's commitment to supporting veterans and longstanding investment in Boulder Crest has resulted in our ability to make difference to thousands of people's lives.

Boulder Crest Foundation helps veterans transform their mental health struggles into lifelong Posttraumatic Growth.  As the seed investor in Boulder Crest, our latest case study demonstrates how our longstanding commitment to supporting veterans and trust in one man's innovative vision can open the door to healing for thousands.     Since 2013, Boulder Crest's capacity to serve veterans has grown exponentially, with over 100,000 individuals served to date. At the same time, Boulder Crest's programs have evolved to better meet veterans' needs, transforming the way mental health care is delivered.     Watch to learn how this organization instills hope and a sense of agency in the lives of veterans, military families, and first responders.  https://lnkd.in/g_XXP4Dv

Command Chief | Leader , Mentor, Culture & Talent Management expert | Grounded in faith, family, and service…committed to living courageously and resiliently!

Yesterday we loaded two vans to visit Boulder Crest Foundation Arizona. Their 130 acre property in Sonoita is breathtaking. What they do helping veterans, first responders, and their families finding post traumatic GROWTH is inspirational! Thank you Joe Wood, Codi McCaw, Rob Gaines for your service and the efforts helping veterans and families. I look forward to sharing the opportunities of #warriorpathh, #strugglewell, and all #PTG programs! Hope to bring them to Luke AFB and other organizations! If your are looking to support a worthwhile cause or have a veteran who needs help this is the place to start their road of growth and opportunity. https://bouldercrest.org

THANK YOU to the tireless team from The Christman Company for spending the day going over the BCVA campus with rolled-up sleeves, an awe-inspiring attention to detail, and a level of care and dedication to their task that rivals our own staff. Not only did this team complete every project on the list, they did it in record time - with laser focus that ensures our facility has its best foot forward when we welcome our next families and program participants. Transformation happens on these grounds - and with your help we are able to create a tranquil and immaculate backdrop for the program modules that are saving lives, and the activities that are reconnecting families. #Service #ServingOthers #Purpose #GivingBack #Community #CommunitySupport #Transformation

Some of our greatest mentors, teachers, leaders, and philosophers were warriors who found wisdom, strength, and value on their own hero's journey - their Posttraumatic Growth journey - and brought those lessons back to share with their communities. In our PTG programs, we use the ancient warrior tradition of walking the Labyrinth to process our struggles, reflect on what we fight for, and refocus on our strengths and values in order to find purpose and better serve ourselves, our families, and our communities. #labyrinth #WarriorCulture #THISisPTG #PosttraumaticGrowth #PTG #StruggleWell #WarriorPATHH #Service #Purpose #Strength #Philosophers

You may be unfamiliar with the name Joseph Campbell, but his legacy is common knowledge: The Hero's Journey - the outline found in ancient epics and modern film alike. Through extensive study and comparison, Campbell found the common thread that ties all human story together - and if you take a look at the elements of The Hero's Journey you might recognize it for what it is: A story of Posttraumatic Growth. _________________________ Watch "Finding Joe" on YouTube or in our PTG Resource Library: https://lnkd.in/ev3ddQDk Joseph Campbell is a philosopher - the man who had this ability to see the truth in a world where we've lost sight of that in many ways. He studied all of these classical myths traditions and he actually started by studying Native American mythology...he wound up studying the Aboriginal cultures, he studied Greek mythology, he studied Arthurian legend - he dissected and really diagrammed all of our stories." "He compared the philosophies - the mythic stories of the whole world - our myths, our movies, our novels, our romances - and he found this one story within all the stories that we can relate to no matter where you come from. He recognized that in spite of all the different stories we seem to be telling there's really only one and he called it the Hero's Journey"

We can think of no better models of healthy service than our own program guides. BCF programs are lead by expert guides who have been through the program themselves, have done the work, adopted healthy wellness practices, and have been drawn back to serve in the very programs that served them. They not only know from experience how to walk the path from struggle to strength, they also have the skills, discipline, and determination to create the environment necessary to pave the way for others. They are the perfect example of serving yourself, using that new focus and energy to create or fortify your closest circle of support, and then expanding outward - building on a foundation of internal strength and external support to follow your passions and find purpose through meaningful service. #Service #THISisPTG #PosttraumaticGrowth #PTG #StruggleWell #WarriorPATHH #ExpertGuides #Purpose #ChooseGrowth

You've been working on yourself - investing in laying and fortifying your foundation. You know who you are. You know what you stand for. You know what values you want to see more of in the world. You can feel purpose simmering under your skin. As you sense that you've got more to give, you should put that new energy into action. You may not know where to start, and that's okay! There may be many ways you feel called to support and serve - try them all. Start with small acts of service - volunteering at a soup kitchen, the humane society, or with an organization that serves a community you care about. Participating in small acts service will likely open your eyes to areas where you feel passionate about serving. You'll start to see ways your service, or that of an organization, could expand - and you may feel inspired to lead that expansion. __________________ Read Struggle Well, Thriving in the Aftermath of Trauma for more on the Concentric Circles of Service. https://lnkd.in/eE-84gTh #THISisPTG #PosttraumaticGrowth #Service #PTG #StruggleWell #ChooseGrowth #WarriorPATHH
