About us
Blue Ridge Eating Disorder Care Center is committed to the recovery of young women with disordered eating. Located in the serene Pennsylvania countryside, our team of professionals offer individualized treatment for girls diagnosed with ARFID, anorexia, bulimia, OSFED, and binge eating. Our priority at Blue Ridge is to provide young women with nutritional therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, medication management, educational support, and medical care while they build relationships with their peers and staff. At Blue Ridge, families are our priority, and we believe long-lasting recovery is built on a collaborative approach that is family-focused. Our home like environment utilizes expressive therapies tailored to the needs of young women, which is vital to finding freedom from disordered eating.

Join us for an enlightening education session let by Cara Fox, a speech-language pathologist, feeding specialist, and founder of “Talk Eat Play Grow”. This session will focus on the critical role of feeding therapists (SLPs, OTs) in the diagnosis and treatment of ARFID and how this historically misunderstood eating disorder is often misdiagnosed or undiagnosed by these professions. Explore the intersection of feeding specialists, therapists, dietitians, and medical providers in managing this complex and historically misunderstood eating disorder. Attendees will enhance their understanding of the differences between ARFID and other feeding disorders and the challenges that present in proper diagnosis and treatment.
