Blocknative provides the best-in-class gas infrastructure – without the technical overhead. But don't take our word for it. Blockchains already use Blocknative daily for gas estimation. Collectively, we drive over 600 gas estimates per second ⛽https://lnkd.in/gExD9FVu

🚨 On the eve of @ethcc 2024, Ethereum's Private Transaction share has nearly doubled – surpassing 30% of all confirmed transactions for the past two days. This trend appears to be accelerating. Is this good or bad overall? My take: it's both. 🧵 While to some extent inevitable – as predicted last year by the crowd at MEVday Paris (hat tip: @thegostep) – I believe that the growth of private transactions brings negative externalities that are already impacting the gas price efficiency of the entire Ethereum ecosystem. I recently broached this subject at the @EdgeEsmeralda researchathon hosted by @ethereum @UniswapFND researchers. A handful of us identified several relevant research pathways to explore. Interested to learn more/get involved? Would love to discuss in Brussels @ethcc.

Struggling with manual decoding of L2 transactions? Now you don’t need to: ✨Announcing the Blocknative Batch Decoding API ✨ L2 transactions are faster & cheaper, but they come with a trade-off. Transactions are rolled up & sent to L1 in batches as compressed bytes. Decoding this data is time-consuming and complicated. Today, decoding a batch involves diving into open-source code, re-implementing it, & manually updating for changes. To add to the complexity, with EIP-4844, data becomes ephemeral. Without proper backend infrastructure, developers lose access to the data after a certain window. The Decoding API leverages our blob archive where we record and store all the blobs so developers don’t have to. The API is simple: input the transaction hash & get human-readable data back. It works for pending & confirmed transactions on the following L2s: Optimism, Base, Mode, Zora, Kroma, Blast, Arbitrum, and ZkSync.
