Our crew is having a great time in London at the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow this week. We had the opportunity to hear from Will Ainsworth (Lt. Governor of Alabama), Daniel Harris (Chairman of the Montgomery County Commission), members of the Alabama delegation, Katie Britt (Alabama Senator), and Angela Till (Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce), along with aerospace organizations throughout the world. Tuesday’s FuelAL luncheon at Innovation Depot was a hit! BHM’s summer interns got to hear from the current Rotaract Club of Birmingham President, Thomas Yerby, CPA and President-Elect Alexandria Bowker about how to get plugged into the community as a young professional and learn more about Rotaract. AND the panel was moderated by David A. Russell Jr., MBA, which is always a plus! FuelAL is a program of The Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, in partnership with Innovate Alabama to showcase Alabama’s vibrant communities to current college students. Throughout this summer, Trevor Sutton has led the charge for BHM, creating thoughtful programming and events that highlight the opportunities and community in the region.
