Students have returned to classes in the Beverly Hills Unified School District’. Back to School events included Staff Opening Day on Aug. 11 at the Saban Theater. The event was attended by BHUSD staff, school board, PTA, BHEF and City of Beverly Hills officials.

The Church of the Good Shepherd the oldest house of worship in the City of Beverly Hills, is preparing to mark its 100th anniversary with a fabulous and faith-filled celebration of God, church and community. The Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles José H. Gomez will lead a special Centennial Mass on Aug. 13, which will be followed by a reception in the hall and courtyards of the historic church. On July 24, more than 1,000 cooks, room attendants, dishwashers, servers, bellmen, and front desk agents at The Beverly Hilton, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and Fairmont Century Plaza went on strike.
