Helping to provide youth a brighter, healthier future.

About us

Bethany Children's Home provides residential services for children and youth who are unable to live with their own or a substitute family. Typically, these young people require more structure, more elaborate programming, and more highly trained staff than is possible in a smaller group setting. Bethany's programming is designed to provide a safe environment to maximize the therapeutic components afforded to the youth. The mission of Bethany Children’s Home is to provide a safe place of nurture, protection, and supportive care to aid our residents in their self-understanding, growth, and healing toward a brighter, healthier future.

  • Thank you so much to Kozloff Stoudt Attorneys for your incredible generosity! This was a wonderful visit. We are so thankful for your support!

Yesterday we delivered our Angel Tree gifts to Bethany Children's Home to help bring cheer to the children in their care this Christmas. Bethany Children’s Home is especially close to the hearts of Attorneys Julia Adams and Andrew George. Julia’s grandfather, Rev. Dr. Garnet O. Adams, was the Superintendent of Bethany Children’s Home for over 30 years from 1954 to 1985! Julia’s aunt, Dr. Betsy Adams, grew up there with her siblings and became their first female President of the Board. Julia’s father, District Attorney John T. Adams, and their family have many wonderful memories and stories of their years at Bethany Children’s Home. Attorney Andy George worked at Bethany Children’s Home full time as a child care worker for a year before law school and then throughout law school for the next 3 1/2 years. He has many great memories of Bethany Children’s Home as well. Julia and Andy shared a few stories with CEO Dr. Joseph Birli when we dropped off our gifts. The room was full of wonderful gift donations that you can see all around us in our photo. A special thank you to Development Alumni Coordinator and Archivist Jennifer M. Koch and Development Coordinator Jessica Holland for your lovely presentation at our firm. Merry Christmas to everyone at Bethany Children’s Home! Thank you Bethany Children's Home for giving me the opportunity to share my foster care experience at the 160th Anniversary Dinner. I’m grateful to have the chance to use my story to inspire other foster youth to be successful. Like I’ve always said, “Your past does not define you. Each struggle is a stepping block to reach your true potential.” ✨
