Juneteenth: A Day of Reflection and Celebration On June 19, 1865, freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas. This was almost two and a half years after slaves were declared free under the terms of the 1862 Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is not only a day to honor the resilience and contributions of Black Americans throughout history but also a time to reflect on the ongoing journey towards equality and justice. This past weekend, BETAH celebrated our third annual Family Day BBQ at Bally Cliff Farm, and it was a huge success! This event is designed to bring us together as colleagues and friends, providing a wonderful opportunity to connect with one another over delicious food, fun activities, and perfect weather. What's the most effective communication strategy you've implemented in your professional career, and how did it impact your team or organization?

BETAH attended the 33rd annual Government Procurement Conference in Washington, D.C. This prestigious event, hosted by the Federal Business Council (FBC), is the largest and longest-running conference for small businesses seeking to partner with the government and prime contractors.    Our Senior Director of Project Development and Execution, Nate Robinson, and Director of Marketing and Communications, Kelsey Felton, MA, PCM , had the opportunity to listen to engaging panel discussions, explore innovative procurement solutions, and discover new business opportunities.    “I enjoyed hearing firsthand from procurement professionals about the latest industry strategies and advancements and participating in crucial networking discussions,” said Nate.     We look forward to leveraging the insights gained at the conference to further support federal agencies with our comprehensive services.
