#ICYMI Real Estate Practice Group Shareholder, Suzanne Breselor Lowell, sat down with Dan Lampariello from WGME CBS13 to discuss how municipalities assess properties for tax purposes. From sauerkraut chocolate cake to perogies, Jollof rice to Noodle Kugel, and butter chicken to Chokladbollar, nearly 30 dishes representing more than 15 countries—including Greece, Burkina Faso, India, Poland, Rwanda, and the Philippines—filled the halls of Bernstein Shur’s Portland office today. Thanks to our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee, especially co-chairs Mary Beth Turcotte, SHRM-CP, PHR and Tara Walker and members Amelia Pelletier, SHRM-CP and Diane Mutagoma, for inviting employees to bring dishes representing their cultures to the firm’s first ever potluck lunch. The outcome did not disappoint, and we enjoyed the opportunity to learn about each other’s heritages through delicious food!
