    This past week, BENlabs has undergone a strategic restructure to focus on our three core businesses: Product Placement, Influencer Marketing, and TubeBuddy. This change is a return to our client-centric roots, enabling us to concentrate on how we can uniquely assist both brands and creators in reaching their target audiences more effectively and efficiently through content and entertainment.   This strategic shift will allow us to focus on what has always made BENlabs unique in the marketplace: the ability to combine data-driven audience intelligence, proprietary technology, industry expertise and full funnel measurement tools that take the guesswork out of entertainment marketing and content creation.    Each or our three core business will be led by industry experts with combined decades of experience in their fields: - Erin Schmidt, General Manager, Product Placement - Jake Maughan, General Manager, Influencer Marketing - Tyler Folkman, General Manager, TubeBuddy, and Chief Technology Officer   We’re also excited to share that Ted Sheffield has been appointed as our new Chief Executive Officer to lead our restructured company. Ted brings vast expertise across finance, operations and business strategy. He has over 12 years of experience with BENlabs, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel.   This change in strategy brings tremendous opportunity for BENlabs to focus on what it does best and maximize value for brands and creators. Given the significant shifts that have been required, this restructure has also resulted in a reduction in our workforce and the need to say goodbye to many amazing colleagues and friends.     Lame parents are responsible for the $21B influencer marketing industry. Hear me out: 12+ years ago, big brands and Hollywood didn't think of Creators as "real talent"... But their kids did. From vloggers to Minecrafters to the legendary Viners, the then teenage Gen Z were spending all their time doing something their parents didn't understand.     I’m excited to share the findings from a recent collaborative study with YouGov, which delves into the effectiveness of product placement strategies in media. BENlabs & YouGov’s research was aimed at determining whether a "standout" integration strategy—characterized by bigger, fewer moments—is more impactful than a "standard" product placement strategy, involving a scaled campaign with multiple "average" moments. Our findings found the average standout product placement generated a Net Placement Value (NPV) of $412,400, compared to $299,803 for a single standard one, though various combinations (2 standard vs 1 standout, 4 standard vs 2 standout) lead to varying results. So what was the key takeaway? The study reveals that there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer to a brand's product placement strategy. While standout and standard placements both show significant benefits, the choice between them should align with a brand's overall marketing strategy, risk tolerance, and capacity to support a standout placement with additional marketing activities. Both scaled campaigns and significant moments in tentpole content hold their unique advantages. Brands are encouraged to consider how these strategies align with their marketing goals to maximize impact.
