Project Update: TCAT McKenzie | Groundbreaking We work closely with administrators, educators and researchers to design and build facilities that prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow. We're proud to be selected as the builder for the newest academic and administration building at Tennessee College of Applied Technology - McKenzie. We look forward to partnering with the McKenzie community, students and project team to build a brighter future together.

#TBT Project: Demonbreun Street Viaduct | This 2018 project consisted of the construction of a concrete box beam bridge on Demonbreun Street over the CSX Railroad and 11th Avenue, including grading, drainage, and paving. The bridge is a 774′ x 58′ wide, 54″ x 58″ box beam bridge with span lengths of 114′, 123.75′, two at 130′, two at 100′, and 76′. From its locomotive patterned concrete supports, to its railing design atop the parapet wall, it has brought the memory of old railroad days back to downtown Nashville. It was difficult working through and over an active CSX railroad yard, but we still completed this project five months ahead of schedule.

Nashville Opens Its Doors to the City's First Permanent Supportive Housing. The newly named Strobel House is a 5-story structure with 90 units to serve Nashvillians experiencing literal and chronic homelessness. The ground floor includes offices for social services, clinical spaces, as well as a multipurpose room and computer room. Each level includes a community room with laundry facilities with an outdoor balcony. Each resident floor also has views of the Cumberland River. “As a local firm, BELL is particularly proud of its role in helping bring Strobel House to life,” said Eric Pyle, president of BELL Construction. “We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Metro Nashville on this vital development that addresses the needs of literally and chronically unhoused people in our city, and we look forward to seeing its positive impact on the community.”

Heading back to school in Shelbyville, TN is so exciting! Thrilled children, parents, teachers and members of the community celebrated the grand opening of the new Cartwright Elementary School and toured the new 113,000 SF of classroom space including Pre-K, new gymnatorium, media center/library, cafeteria and kitchen.
