Louisville Water Company's history of innovation in the water sector and commitment to public health continues with the invention of Pure Spout Filters. Although lead isn't present in drinking water when leaving treatment plants and there are ongoing efforts to replace lead pipes nationwide, Pure Spout's water fountain filtration system reduces the risk of contamination as water moves through older pipes and plumbing fixtures in buildings. https://lnkd.in/eR6b9wyZ #clientnews

Banner's Talia C. shares three tips for brands navigating the U.S. TikTok ban: 1️⃣ Don't panic just yet. TikTok's owner ByteDance has 12 months to sell and will very likely take the Biden Administration to court over the law. 2️⃣ Grow owned channels. Your brand shouldn't solely rely on social media to reach and engage stakeholders. Take this time to invest in further building out owned channels like your website, blog and newsletter. They're less vulnerable to trends, app outages, algorithms and, in this extreme case, legislative bans. 3️⃣ Diversify social media presence. Although you shouldn't put all your eggs in any one app, it's still worthwhile publishing content to other platforms and reminding your TikTok followers where else they can follow your brand. #tiktokban

An update from Banner's Ryan Losak about the FY25 Appropriations cycle: Congress finally wrapped up its work on the FY24 Appropriations cycle in March, nearly six months past the initial deadline in September. Now, it's diving straight into the FY25 Appropriations process. Members of Congress are currently seeking input from businesses and stakeholders regarding government funding priorities. Each office has different deadlines for when these requests need to be submitted. Some deadlines have already passed, but many offices have yet to set deadlines--making the next few months the best time to engage during this appropriations cycle. This presents an opportunity to advocate for specific funding levels for agencies and programs, secure funding for individual projects within a member’s state or district, or influence language directing actions by federal agencies. As the FY25 appropriation process unfolds through the summer and fall, proactive engagement and advocacy are necessary to achieving funding and policy objectives. Those seeking to make a meaningful impact should initiate dialogue with policymakers and their offices early, fostering ongoing communication to effectively convey their priorities. Banner's government relations team boasts a proven track record of success in securing federal funding and cultivating robust relationships across Capitol Hill. With extensive connections, including key staff members on the House and Senate Appropriations Committees from both parties, we are well positioned to assist your business or organization in achieving tangible results that positively impact your bottom line. Whether it's advocating for specific funding allocations or shaping policy directives, our team is dedicated to ensuring your objectives are met.
