BaMidbar supports mental health and wellness in the Jewish community
About us
BaMidbar Wilderness Therapy is working to ensure that Jewish youth and young adults have the confidence, skills, and community support to navigate life’s challenges and thrive in the face of adversity. We envision a Jewish community that actively supports its members in cultivating mental health and wellness. BaMidbar addresses mental health and wellness through a three-pronged approach focusing on prevention, education, and treatment. Prevention: Through mental health and wellness-focused programs, workshops, and retreats, BaMidbar helps Jewish teens and young adults bolster personal resilience by expanding their understanding of mental health and grounding that understanding within their Jewish identity. Education: Through mental health education and professional development, BaMidbar helps Jewish communal professionals expand their mental health literacy and explore facilitation through the lens of social and emotional growth. Treatment: Through wilderness-based, therapeutic journeys of self-discovery, hope, and healing, BaMidbar supports Jewish young adults struggling with mental health challenges.

🎁Make a gift to celebrate Jory Hanselman Mayschak's leadership!🎁 https://lnkd.in/eSFywQYf Jory's contributions to Jewish life cannot be overstated. Because of her visionary leadership over the past 8 years, BaMidbar is an innovative and resilient organization that reimagines how the Jewish community supports healthy, resilient teens and young adults. With a comprehensive strategic plan, expanded education and training offerings, and a clinical team taking clients in Massachusetts and Colorado, Jory leaves BaMidbar in a position of strength. BaMidbar offers special thanks to Ramah in the Rockies for bringing Jory in and incubating BaMidbar in its early days. BaMidbar would not be what it is today with that support.
