The highly interactive year-long, seminar-based program will include participation in the National Medical Association (NMA) and Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO) Annual Meetings where we are excited to introduce them to our dynamic communities.

Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO) was founded in 1966 as an organization dedicated to research and education. Through its mission, AUPO is the voice of academic ophthalmology. The objective of AUPO is the promotion of medical education, research, and patient care in ophthalmology. To accomplish this objective AUPO provides a forum for discussion of mutual issues facing departments/divisions of ophthalmology of: · medical schools accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) in the United States; · ophthalmology residency training programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in medical schools and other teaching institutions in the United States; · departments/divisions of ophthalmology accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (RCPS) in Canada and affiliated with a Canadian medical school.
