The Future of Work is here! Grateful for Mott Community College's leadership in hosting the Future of Work Symposium this week. These are critical issues we should be thinking about collectively - working together to prepare students for a workforce that's being disrupted by AI, Industry 4.0 and other technologies. Matt Kirchner keynoted the event, while team members Chriss Roberts, Geramy D. and William Childress demonstrated how colleges like Mott are training this next generation workforce. Last week, LIFT hosted teachers from West High School and Liberty High School for a week of IGNITE: Mastering Manufacturing - Amatrol Summer Training! This program combines self-directed eLearning with real-world equipment to teach students hands-on, transferable skills the industry needs. Sue Smith joins SACA as the Executive Program Director after working at the highest levels within Indiana’s Ivy Tech Community College for more than 30 years. During her tenure with Ivy Tech, Smith developed expertise in consulting; workforce and economic development; program and partnership development; and advanced and smart manufacturing.
