A board-certified laryngologist, he integrates his medical expertise with his passion for music, having a rich background as an accomplished baritone and multi-instrumentalist. Dr. Sims completed his undergraduate and medical education at Yale, followed by a fellowship in professional voice care at Vanderbilt University.     🌟 Celebrating Alma Klemann's Journey! 🌟 Join us in congratulating Alma Klemann on her recent promotion to Insurance Department Supervisor! 🎉👏 Alma started her incredible journey with Atos Medical in October of 2021 as an Insurance Specialist. Within just 8 months, she moved to the NPA Queue, and by August 2022, she was promoted to Team Lead, managing our Insurance Department workflow. This past month, she stepped up as our new Supervisor for the Insurance Department. 🏆✨ A fun fact about Alma: she comes from a family of ten, with seven sisters!     🗣️Interdisciplinary Simulation Education Programs for Airway Emergencies🗣️ Join us on June 27th, 2024 for Webinar Two of our Surgical Airway Management Series. 👩⚕️ An interdisciplinary oncology team from a major multi-hospital health care system will discuss the development of a simulation training program to address surgical airway emergencies. The team will review case scenarios and lessons learned to support the rational for staff training prior to an airway emergency. During this 90-minute interactive webinar, participants are encouraged to share strategies for training staff to prepare for an emergency. Course objectives: 1. Review and define strategies to create an interdisciplinary simulation program for population-specific airway bleeding case scenarios. 2. Describe the impact of an in-situ airway bleeding simulation program on staff comfort. 3. Describe lessons learned from creating an airway bleeding simulation program and creation of enduring educational resources to support staff education and training outside of in-situ simulation.
