🌟 Community Engagement Spotlight 🌟 Aspire's School to Work Specialist, Jennifer Hollingshead, has been incredibly busy over the last two weeks, making a significant impact in our community. Jennifer's dedication to fostering meaningful connections and creating opportunities for our students is truly inspiring. Last week marked our final teacher field trip of the summer, where teachers and guidance counselors visited Endress+Hauser, Simons Bitzer & Associates, and Tilson HR. This initiative allowed educators to learn about career opportunities and pathways available for students right here in Johnson County. Additionally, Aspire partnered with the Chin Community Center to connect employers with high school and college students from the Chin Community. This effort aimed to raise awareness among students about the diverse career options in our region. We were honored to have the following employers participate: - Mark Brown & Sara Liantu, Milwaukee Tool - Kristy King, KYB - MeMe Forman-Harrison & Kelleen Robertson, Franciscan Health - Lance Patterson, Merrit Hall Insurance - Melissa Duke, Citizen’s Bank - Emily Overman, Endress+Hauser - Greg Ilko, Crossroads Engineers Furthermore, Jennifer recently participated in the Reentry Job and Resource Fair for the Department of Corrections at Martin University. Aspire shared valuable educational resources for classes at Central Nine, Franciscan Health, Ivy Tech, and initiatives such as Next Level Jobs, Johnson County Public Library's trade videos, and Work One details for job seekers. We are proud of Jennifer’s efforts and the positive impact she continues to make in our community. Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing initiatives!
