We are here to unify, amplify, and represent AAPI voices in the cannabis industry.
About us
The Asian Cannabis Roundtable (ACR) was created with one goal in mind: to unify, amplify, and represent AAPI voices in the cannabis industry. The history of cannabis on a global scale is rooted in Asian cultures from the numbing medicines of 大麻 (dà má) in Ancient China to the delicious edible preparations of भांग (Bhāṅg) in Indian customs. Unification happens when we are able to see, hear, and celebrate with others that share similar backgrounds. Representation occurs when we are able to project one voice to advocate for changes we'd like to see and for seats at the proverbial table. ACR is here to start a movement - we’d love to have you join the ride…

We all know that cannabis has thousands of years cultural history and influence across the world. But finding archeological evidence that can verify the origins of cannabis can help us understand how previous civilizations utilized it, and the effects of trade with other countries. A team of scientists compiled 100+ genomes of different variations of cannabis. Their analysis hypothesizes that cannabis was domesticated in China over 12,000 years ago. This matches the time dated on ancient artifacts found in China, Taiwan, and Japan that contained hemp. Despite the rich origins of cannabis use in China there is still a negative stigma regarding the plant. As time progresses we shall see if that changes. Check out the comment section for the article which links to the study for those who are interested.

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to our monthly sesh meeting! 🥰 We had a great discussion about our love for cannabis 🥬, but also the sacrifices that come with it. Having a career in cannabis is controversial, even more so with Asian families who feel that having a successful job is well… everything BUT cannabis. 🥲 As many of us are immigrants it can be an extra level of difficulty not having support from loved ones. It’s these small intimate moments where we can open up in a safe space and talk about those hardships. Be a little bit more vulnerable and know we are in good company together. 🫶 Can’t wait to see you all at the next one! 🫰 Aisha Alves Vien Trinh, MBA Jon Heredia Alan Ao, PharmD Seibo Shen (Chief Innovator) Mei-Ling Campbell Weiwei Fellman Charles Wu Al Ochosa Kat Chirawong Dilig

How many of you think that emulsion technology is the most important factor in a beverage's final potency? Quality emulsion is - without a doubt - a very important part of making quality infused beverages, but it’s far from the only contributor to success. In this article, I explain why high-quality cannabis emulsion isn't the only crucial factor and what other details cannabis beverage brands should pay attention to. Let me know what you think! Did I miss any other considerations?
