In the “In & Out” series, artist Nicole Pun invited participants to perform how they touched and made love to their partners in front of her lens. The result is an intimate portrait of lesbian desire and sexual intimacy. Pun spent years interviewing American, Taiwanese, and Hong Kong lesbians to learn more about the stories of their hands— a frequently and intensively utilized part of our body and a signifier of sexual desire and expression between queer and lesbian-identified women.
