Research has repeatedly shown that when medical costs increase, #adherence decreases. What does that look like in real life? In our new survey, 2 in 3 Americans said they would skip or delay care until they know the cost. Read our survey report for full findings and to learn what can be done to support patient affordability and adherence.

AI can unlock meaningful patient-provider connections. By using AI tools, providers gain comprehensive, patient-specific, moment-in-time #healthcare data such as real-time prescription benefit (RTPB) check. As this technology continues to evolve, the healthcare industry can realize significant value in improved patient care, cost-savings, and enhanced overall health outcomes—as well as furthering the patient-doctor relationship. Why is providing #healthcarecosts information earlier in the process so important? Because high or unaffordable out-of-pocket costs is the primary reason many patients don’t take medications as prescribed. In fact, up to 37% of prescriptions are never filled due to cost. Many providers don't find out about the issue until the patient comes in for their next appointment. Technology—like real-time benefit check (RTBC), that enables prescription #pricetransparency, and often provides cheaper alternatives, ultimately benefits patients, providers, payers, and pharma by driving down health care costs and increasing patient access to prescribed therapies. Remember when a provider wrote you a paper prescription and you took it to the #pharmacy to pick it up? Those days are long gone due to the proliferation of pharmacies, increasing drug costs, staffing shortages, and health plan variation, among other factors. But fortunately offering a better (and more simple) pharmacy experience is possible, with the right technology. Read our fourth and final blog with The Health Management Academy to learn about the three most promising technologies in the space: 🔸 Real-Time Prescription Benefit 🔸 ePA (Electronic Prior Authorization) 🔸 Patient Engagement Solutions

Thank you to our awesome team members Robin Coulter and Phil Goodwin who recently guided our team through a yoga and meditation break in the spirit of Mental Health Awareness month. Both practices have been found to have numerous benefits for mental health such as reducing stress and anxiety, improving our mood and sleep, enhancing self-awareness, increasing focus and attention. It was really great to come together as a team to take a collective pause in our busy day. We are looking forward to making these sessions more regular! #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #yoga #meditation

Originally intended to support quality care, #priorauthorization (PA) has become so complex and inefficient that providers are spending 14 hours a week according to the American Medical Association. That's more than 700 hours a year‼, not to mention the faxes, pharmacy callbacks, and backlog of patients waiting to get their prescriptions. Everyone needs a better way to manage PAs. But first we have to understand how we got here and the gaps in current approaches to managing them. Arrive Health's newest whitepaper covers these points and more. Get your free copy to learn what you can do today to reduce administrative burden and speed access to medication, even when PA is required.

#Pharmacy is well positioned to support continuity of care, patient outcomes, and overall health system growth. Yet too often pharmacy remains an ancillary service, not a core component of health system strategy. Part 3 of our blog series with The Health Management Academy includes insights from UPMC's Chief Pharmacy Officer, Chronis Manolis which health systems can use to evaluate their pharmacy growth potential.

In honor of May being #MentalHealthAwareness month, we've been engaging as a team in different activities that support our mental, physical and emotional well-being. While we understand the positive impact of a well-balanced diet, we know that sometimes a fruit or veggie just doesn't hit the spot when those midday cravings strike. To tackle this, we organized a "Healthy Dupe" bake-off challenge where our team discovered and shared some healthier versions of our favorite guilty pleasure snacks.
