The new PES Wind edition is out! It features an article about the new #lightningprotection product offered by Arctura, Inc. in collaboration with Mankiewicz Coating Solutions and Composites One. The product is the Alexit® BladeRep® topcoat ALP 20 with ArcGuide® for enhanced lightning protection. The article describes the genesis and validation of the technology, including details of the experiments and data that show a projected 73% decrease in blade punctures when the coating is installed on operating wind turbines.
