Arbor is developing a scalable and low-cost approach to reverse humanity’s climate footprint, leveraging advanced rocket engine technology and Earth’s own natural rhythms. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating systems that will restore balance to the planet and set the foundation for a global circular economy. Our technology converts waste into clean energy and fresh water, while permanently removing CO2 from the atmosphere.     Today marks the anniversary of one of our company's critical technical milestones. This time last year, Arbor's team achieved sustained supercritical oxy-combustion of syngas. This is an extremely challenging feat - and core to unlocking carbon-negative power at GW and GT scale. The reaction is so clean and complete that it cannot be seen in the visible spectrum. The future can be bright: zero-waste, carbon-negative, water-positive, and our natural world protected... all while promoting an improved quality of life for a global population.

    Back in 2019 I successfully defended my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and shortly after Covid hit and I was never able to walk or be hooded. In the last Year at Arbor I've made some incredible relationships with some of the most impressive engineers I've had the pleasure to work with. In that time my fellow Ph.D.s at Arbor learned I'd never been hooded and decided to fix that and today had me walk at our company all hands. it was fun, silly, and very meaningful. In honor of my Finnish Heritage they even presented me a sword they'd made following the Finnish tradition, the sword is symbolic of the freedom of research and the fight for what is good, right and true. It's a genuine honor to be part of such a talented, supportive, and caring team! Thank you Stas Zinchik, Ph.D., Shreyas Kolapkar, Ph.D., and Farrah Powell, PhD!

    Isometric recently developed a protocol for durable carbon removal through Biogenic Carbon Capture and Sequestration (BCCS) that has now entered public consultation. The Protocol details how BCCS can be monitored, reported on and verified so that buyers can purchase BCCS carbon credits with confidence. Isometric’s BCCS Protocol provides the most detailed, robust requirements on the market for how suppliers should sustainably source biomass. This can give buyers of biomass-based carbon dioxide removal credits confidence that all biomass used in the BCCS process does not contribute to deforestation or changes to land use that would create further emissions. Arbor is the first supplier signed on to have credits issued against this protocol. Arbor uses technology that produces low cost and scalable bioenergy that also captures and locks away carbon dioxide for thousands of years. This Protocol was created by Isometric’s in-house Science Team and now enters a peer review process with more than 200 climate experts in Isometric’s independent Science Network. This brings the total number of published Isometric protocols to six and is another step towards building trust and transparency in carbon markets.
