Kelly Fincher, 64-year-old male, arrived at Grandview Medical Center due to shortness of breath. Things quickly took a turn when they found he had influenza A and bacterial pneumonia with a lung abscess. While waiting for transportation to be admitted, he became cyanotic and a code blue was called where resultant intubation and pressors were begun. Thanks to persistent treatment and support from Dr. Lynn Crawford, he made a remarkable recovery, moving from the SICU to rehab, and finally returning home.
