Android developers, check out Apollo Kotlin 4: IDE upgrades, enhanced APIs, and more! Dive into the details here: https://bit.ly/3yue2UU #GraphQL #MobileApps #WebDevelopment
Android developers, Apollo Kotlin 4.0 is generally available! This milestone is truly a coming of age for this cornerstone of the app development ecosystem. It's hard to distill all the great work the team did down to a few points, but I'll try anyway! 👩🏻💻 Developer experience. If you haven't tried our IntelliJ Plugin yet, now's the perfect time. There are some automatic migration helpers to assist with upgrading from 3 -> 4 (and 2 -> 3, for stragglers), and more :) 📦 Stability and modularity. APIs will be versioned separately so that we can rapidly iterate and release new functionality without bumping the version on stable core APIs 👾 Kotlin, Kotlin, Kotlin. K2 support and more Multiplatform compatibility 🤓 Nullability directives. Error and null handling might not sound flashy, but they're a big part of the job. The `semanticNonNull` and `catch` directives give developers declarative and intuitive control over their control flow. Brought to you by Martin Bonnin and Benoit Lubek at Apollo GraphQL.
