Apache joined other industry experts for the DEVEX technical conference in Aberdeen recently. Gordon Hardie, production engineering manager, took to the stage to talk about Apache’s Beryl Field water injection strategy in the North Sea. Our hometown Houston Astros paid a visit to our office on Thursday, where hundreds of employees gathered to celebrate the Bayou City’s baseball team with popcorn, hotdogs, cookies, games and prizes. Orbit, the Astros’ mascot, joined in on the festivities, along with Astros player Michael Bourn and Chris Sampson. Thank you to the Astros and our amazing employees for making this celebration a grand slam – go ‘Stros!

Students at Findochty Primary School in Scotland planted trees at their school donated through the Apache Tree Grant Program. This project encourages the students to become stewards of nature.    Our North Sea production operations campaign manager, Ross Stewart, lent a helping hand at the planting session as the students learned about the benefits of trees contributing to a healthier planet for future generations.   The school was a recipient of the Apache Tree Grant Program, which has recently opened applications for the 2024/2025 planting season. Apache is honored to partner with The American University in Cairo to continue delivering teacher training for women in Egypt as part of our Springboard Girls School initiative.    The latest phase will see an additional 90 teachers and 30 supervisors trained in Giza, with the same program already delivered in Minya earlier this year providing enhanced educational opportunities for female teachers.    Since launching Springboard in 2004, Apache has built 201 schools in Egypt’s Giza, Minya, and Fayoum governorates, providing access to education for 5,000 girls annually.    #ApacheSpringboard #TeacherTraining #Egypt

Castlen Kennedy, SVP of Corporate Affairs and Marketing, recently met with the Honorable Herro Mustafa Garg, U.S. Ambassador to Egypt during a round table hosted by the U.S. Egypt Business Council. As the largest oil producer and onshore acreage holder in the country, she emphasized our longstanding partnership with Egypt and our joint efforts to responsibly maximize the country's energy resources.

Our VP of EHS, Jessica Jackson, joined the Energy Council's New York Energy Capital Assembly to discuss what good looks like to ensure that society is making real emissions reductions. She shared our strategy to set pragmatic ESG goals, focusing on near-and medium-term targets that are actionable today and provide measurable impact.

Apache production engineering manager, Gordon Hardie, took part in a panel discussion at the Offshore Well Intervention Exhibition and Conference. Gordon highlighted Apache’s use of rigorous performance reviews, well surveillance and other techniques to better understand field management. His team focuses on well integrity, production enhancement and reinstatement opportunities to support our base production. #Apache #Aberdeen #OWI2024 

Our team is wrapping up an exciting week at #SEOGS in Suriname. Together with our partners, we are progressing FEED studies for the development of the Sapakara and Krabdagu fields and taking significant steps towards FID by year-end 2024.

Last year, we donated more than 3,600 trees to organisations in Scotland, including Camphill School Aberdeen, Beannachar Limited, and River Dee Trust .
