According to survey data from our Center for Antisemitism Research, less than half of Jewish students reported feeling physically safe on their campuses in the fall semester of the past school year. ADL intern Luda Isakharov is one of those students. Yesterday morning, she shared her difficult experiences as a Jewish college student with the Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism. #NotOnMyCampus

Yesterday in DC, we met with the families of hostages who remain in Hamas captivity, and some who have returned home. We met Eli Bibas, the father of Yarden and grandfather of young Ariel and baby Kfir. We heard from Ayelet Samerano, whose son Yonatan was murdered on 10/7 and whose body was dragged into Gaza by an UNRWA employee. Noa Argamani, who was rescued after 8 months in captivity, told us how every day she was held by Hamas, she thought it would be the last day of her life. We also met Ofek Shaul, whose brother Oron was killed in 2014. Hamas has been holding his remains for 10 years. Every one of their stories is heartbreaking. And each one must be heard. We will not rest until the 115 remaining hostages are home. #BringThemHomeNow

Today, ADL’s Oren Segal testified before Congress' Ways and Means Committee about the groups enabling dangerous antisemitic activities with support from tax-exempt orgs. Since the Hamas massacre on October 7th, 2023, antisemitic incidents have surged globally. ADL recorded more U.S. incidents in the last three months of 2023 than in all of 2022. Campuses have become hotbeds for antisemitic activity, often orchestrated by groups that celebrate terrorism and harass Jewish students, and that are funded in part by fiscal sponsors that operate without sufficient oversight or transparency. To protect Jewish communities, ADL calls on Congress and the IRS to conduct a thorough review of the fiscal sponsors supporting projects that glorify terrorism and violence and ensure greater transparency and oversight moving forward.

You might not think that something as simple as making a donation could change the course of history. But that’s exactly what thousands of ADL supporters like you have done for nearly 111 years now.     Since July 10, 1913, supporters like you have helped ADL:  ✓ Counter the rampant antisemitism of the early 1900s   ✓ Fight against the homegrown Nazi, fascism movements of the 1930s   ✓ Champion laws in the 1950s to severely curtailing membership in the KKK  ✓ Create groundbreaking hate crime legislation in the 1980s   ✓ Urge the White House in 2023 to create the historic National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism   https://lnkd.in/eyJCB8n4
