📢 BREAKING: ADL filed a federal lawsuit today on behalf of 125+ victims of Hamas’ Oct 7 terrorist attack. There is clear evidence that Iran, Syria and North Korea provided material support to the perpetrators, and we aim to hold these state sponsors of terrorism liable under the Terrorism Exception to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act. We're seeking justice, accountability and financial compensation for US citizens or family members of US citizens who were injured or killed in the Oct 7 massacre. Iran, Syria and North Korea supported the deadliest antisemitic attack since the Holocaust. They must be held accountable and we believe this lawsuit will provide a path to justice. Findings from our Center for Tech & Society revealed that hate and harassment are still rampant online and never only stay online. LGBTQ+ people were especially harassed. In particular, the rate of harassment was exceptionally high among transgender people, at 63%. It’s high time everyone stepped up to keep communities and marginalized groups safe from harassment.
