🚨SaaS leaders, heads up: Chicago's tricky 9% PPLT tax return is due August 15th — and it applies to SaaS sales! While Illinois does not tax software, the city of Chicago does, by way of the city’s Personal Property Lease Transaction (PPLT) tax. Complicated? You bet. We've cracked the code at Anrok. We handle everything from tracking each jurisdiction’s exposure to filing returns on time, every time. It's audit-ready compliance, minus the headache. Unsure of your PPLT exposure? Reach out to learn more, and see how Anrok can simplify Chicago tax compliance.

Starting July 1, SaaS becomes taxable in Vermont ❗❗ Selling SaaS? You'll need to start tracking your Vermont nexus to avoid liabilities. We're here to help! Reach out to the Anrok team anytime to learn more about staying compliant in Vermont (and all over the globe!) More details for the tax enthusiasts among us 👇 • The Bill (H.B. 887) was passed in May but vetoed by the governor. Then on June 17th, the veto was overridden by the Vermont Legislature. • Previously, Vermont's definition of "tangible personal property" included prewritten software, but contained an exemption for remotely accessed software. • The new law expands “tangible personal property” to all prewritten software, regardless of payment, delivery, or method of access, and repeals the 2015 exemption.
