Radically improving access + outcomes for specialty care
About us
AndHealth works with the healthcare system to radically improve access and outcomes for the most challenging chronic health conditions, by providing culturally competent whole-person specialty care and pharmacy in a partnership model that creates greater health equity for patients, lower costs for the healthcare system, and growth for existing providers. Community Health Centers (CHCs), Health Systems, employers, and plans work with AndHealth to provide high-quality and accessible whole-person specialty care that helps people get their lives back from chronic disease. Together with its partners, AndHealth enables a community based virtual and on-premises healthcare delivery system to address the nationwide specialty care access crisis—while giving patients support for Social Drivers of Health (SDOH). Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, AndHealth is led by former CoverMyMeds co-founder and CEO Matt Scantland and the team that helped grow healthcare technology company CoverMyMeds from inception to its $1.4 billion acquisition by McKesson in 2017 and is supported by key investors including the American Medical Association’s innovation subsidiary, Francisco Partners, and the state of Ohio’s economic development organization.

Our patients’ accomplishments are HUGE, and we want the world to know. 🌎 Keith has completely re-written his future with the support of his AndHealth care team. Psoriatic Arthritis had once made it difficult for him to work or even hold a cup of coffee. Now, Keith has reclaimed his health and said, “My health is tremendously better. I’d say my condition has improved by 80%. I can walk up and down stairs without my knees hurting, my hands don’t hurt, I sleep better, and overall, I just feel better. Everyone should have access to care like this!” Learn more about Keith’s journey: https://lnkd.in/gaD9KquD #wholepersonspecialtycare #CHCs #psoriaticarthritis #rheumatology

Thank you to Robyn Haines and WCMH-TV, NBC4, nbc4i.com for your feature on our partnership with PrimaryOne Health this week. Together we are expanding access to whole-person specialty care in Central Ohio’s communities! Bringing specialty care into a community health center setting means we can take a patient-centered approach to care by also supporting primary care, behavioral health, nutrition, health coaching, and more – all in an affordable and accessible manner. PrimaryOne Health CEO Charleta B Tavares and AndHealth CEO Matt Scantland share more details below 👇

Last week we celebrated a major milestone for affordable prescription care for Indiana’s most vulnerable. In conjunction with our specialty pharmacy partner, AndHealth, we hosted an official ribbon cutting for the JPCHC Pharmacy. Now, local residents and patients of JPCHC primary care across Indiana have access to low-cost retail, prescription, and specialty medications, diabetic testing supplies, over the counter medications and vitamins, and more. Special thanks to Senator Andrea Hunley, Representative Blake Johnson, Deputy Mayor Judith Thomas, AndHealth CEO Matt Scantland, and JPCHC CEO Marc Hackett for their impactful remarks. The JPCHC Pharmacy accepts all Medicaid plans and works with the federal 340B drug program and manufacturers to get the best prices possible for the community. Because JPCHC is a nonprofit, the pharmacy is able to provide much better service than big box retailers, taking the time to help healthcare providers and patients find the best solutions at the best price possible. Stop by today, or ask your local JPCHC provider about using this service! #fqhc

1 in 3 Americans need a CHC. As the nation’s largest primary care network, CHCs are uniquely positioned to provide critical services in a community setting while addressing the Social Drivers of Health that can dramatically impact outcomes. The innovation, resiliency, and passion of CHCs has enabled them to provide high quality care to 30 million Americans nationwide, and yet there are 70 million Americans that still need our help. In the words of Kyu Rhee, MD, MPP, CEO of National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), “Health centers are the best part of the healthcare system, but we can no longer be the best kept secret. We need to be bold.” It was inspiring to spend time with Dr. Rhee this week. As keynote speaker at Ohio Association of Community Health Centers’s annual conference, Dr. Rhee encouraged Ohio’s CHCs to think-forward and seek out ways to grow and expand their mission. He encouraged a boldness that comes by knowing your value to your community and to the healthcare system at large. His words reinforced our own passion in our mission to help CHCs become an even bigger and more integrated part of our healthcare system by offering in-house specialty care and specialty pharmacy to radically improve access and outcomes for patients. Let’s be bold together. #CHC #CommunityHealthcare #FQHC #SDOH #LiveAND

As we wrap the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers's annual conference, we’re left with many important themes to carry us through the year. A few that stood out were thinking of Partnership with a capital P, approaching the future creatively, and considering what we need to do now to shape healthcare 5 to 10 years from now – all of which are philosophies we share. We focus daily on innovating for the future so collectively we can remove barriers to care and help patients access specialty care and specialty pharmacy directly at their point of need. Thanks to OACHC for an impactful annual conference!
