The Meadowdale Beach Park and Estuary Restoration was selected as the Pacific Northwest Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Infrastructure Project of the Year! This award recognizes professionalism, innovation, and excellence in the management of construction process. The Meadowdale Beach Park and Estuary Restoration project is significant for its role in salmon recovery. By enlarging a stream crossing under railroad tracks along the shoreline, this park lawn area was converted into a high functioning estuary to benefit salmon habitat. The construction was also important in maintaining the Puget Sound shoreline and making improvements to the park, including adding picnic bench viewpoints of the estuary, beach, and Lund’s Gulch Creek. Congratulations to Snohomish County Parks & Recreation for leading this project, our Anchor QEA team, Hanson Professional Services Inc., Shannon & Wilson, Inc., and Strider Construction Company. Working together is a great opportunity to collaborate on innovative improvements to wildlife preservation and the shared spaces we all love to enjoy. #congratulations #restoration #remediation #revitalization #resiliency #AnchorQEA
