Welcome to the ASF Team, Stephanie! Stephanie Earp will serve as the new Director of Operations and Development for the American Swiss Foundation.    Stephanie brings over a decade of experience in fundraising and constituent engagement to her role as Director of Operations and Development at the American Swiss Foundation. In this capacity, she provides strategic direction, oversight, coordination, and priority setting in resource development and constituent engagement, while managing day-to-day operations of the ASF.   Before joining ASF, Stephanie served as the Assistant Director of Donor Relations at Harvard University, where she led initiatives to enhance donor engagement and drive fundraising success for the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.   Stephanie’s dedication to fostering cross-cultural connections aligns seamlessly with the ASF’s mission and she draws upon her extensive experience to advance the critical work of the American Swiss Foundation.   Stephanie holds a master’s degree in business from the University of Rhode Island and a B.A. from Bates College.

Meet the ASF's Summer Intern! Evan H. Austria is a dedicated summer intern for the American Swiss Foundation. He has volunteered to support the ASF's 79th Annual Gala Dinner, the Fall Dinner at the New York Stock Exchange, and the ASF's 77th Annual Gala Dinner. As an intern, Evan assists with programs and communications, including development and event outreach. He is a student at Siena College pursuing a B.A. in International Business & Sales and B2B Marketing, with a minor in International Studies. Q&A with Evan Austria: ⭐ What is the best experience you have had working at the ASF? The Fall Dinner at the New York Stock Exchange was incredible. I was fortunate to hear the Fireside Chat featuring Christophe Beck, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Ecolab Inc., in conversation with Robert J. Giuffra, Chair of the American Swiss Foundation. The historic venue of the New York Stock Exchange added to the experience. ⭐ What do you love about ASF? What drew you to the Foundation? I first saw the impact of the Foundation while volunteering at the 77th Annual Gala Dinner. I love the mission of the Foundation, to cultivate friendships between Swiss and American leaders. The bonds of friendship between Switzerland and the United States facilitate cultural exchanges and economic opportunities. Also, working with incredible and supportive colleagues, who help me grow professionally and personally. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to intern with the Foundation in the summer of 2023 and this summer, as well. My International Business and B2B Marketing majors and my International Studies minor are assets to my role of assisting the Programs and Communications Director. ⭐ What is your connection to Switzerland? I had the opportunity to study abroad in Germany during my sophomore year of college. I only had time for a brief visit to Switzerland. I am hoping to make a longer trip in the future and be able to truly experience the food and culture. During my internship experience last summer, I researched the Cantons of St. Gallen, Appenzell Inner-Rhoden, and Appenzell Ausser-Rhoden. I would love to see these Cantons in person one day. ⭐ What do you like to do for fun outside of work? When I am not working, I enjoy playing tennis and hiking. I also like to spend time at the beach or visit museums in New York City. ⭐ Current reads or book recommendations? A book I would recommend is Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner. This memoir explores grief, identity, and heritage. ⭐ A podcast you have been listening to? I have been listening to the Tagesshau on Spotify which allows me to keep up with current events and practice German. ⭐ What inspires you? My curiosity about International Affairs inspires me. I am interested in learning about the way diplomacy plays a role in how countries interact and solve problems.

On this day, we commemorate the courage and vision of our founding fathers who declared our independence and laid the foundation for the great experiment of democracy. Tech companies are dominating the ranking of the world's most highly valued listed companies. However, three Swiss companies, Nestlé, Roche and Novartis also made it into the top 100 most valuable companies, according to EY's latest analysis. #SwissCompanies

Acutronic Group announced their expansion in Austin, Texas. ASF Young Leader Florian Aigrain (YL 2021) is the Group CEO. This major investment will create fifty high-wage jobs and solidify the region's status as a hub for advanced manufacturing in aerospace.
