Way to go, Nicole!⭐
Today's member spotlight is consumer lending expert Nicole Messore! Nicole is the Assistant Vice President of Consumer Lending at AmeriCU Credit Union, where she oversees Lending, Servicing, and administration of our deposit account opening and loan operating systems, and merchant lending platforms. Nicole was born in Latham, NY where she’s lived her entire life. Nicole began her career in banking in 2007 working in post-closing review and quality control for a mortgage company. With the market crash that took place in 2008, she used this as an opportunity to expand her into the consumer lane, working her way up to Supervisor of Credit for Home Equity, Consumer, Collections, and Indirect lending at the young age of 24 years old. That experience catapulted her career into the credit union space in 2015 where she obtained higher certifications to support the administration of automated lending operating systems, to include the Meridian Link - Express Accounts Certified Administrator certificate since 2019. Fast forward to 2021, where Nicole has continued her career in the credit union space joining AmeriCU. With the expansion of her AVP role, she's played an integral role in molding the consumer lending and account opening experience into the quick, convenient experience it is today for our membership stretching across 24 counties in NY and beyond. Nicole remains steadfast and focused on automation of consumer lending activity including expedient loan applications and consumer loan growth strategies, which include balance capture initiatives, automation ratios, merchant lending, ancillary sales, and overall lending administration efficiencies from paper to digital lien filing, same-day county recording and various changes to Loan Administration to remove paper pushing and move all functions digital. Nicole highly supports and practices Dale Carnegie and works with Predictive Index as a Certified user supporting people relations and behaviors. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys running, reading, painting, traveling, and time with her Old English Bulldog "Bean". Join us in congratulating Nicole on today's member spotlight!

Great work, Alina! We are proud to have you on our team!
Today's member spotlight is human resources expert Alina Shuman, aPHR! Alina is a Human Resources professional who has specialized in recruitment for numerous years and is now changing focus to employee engagement. She has a passion for finding the right talent and making sure that the employee is well taken care of on their journey with the employer of choice. Alina earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Service Management with a minor in Human Resources Management from SUNY It. A business requirement course sparked her interest in Human Resources and she has not looked back since. Alina started her professional career with AmeriCU Credit Union in 2012 where she had the opportunity to build up the recruitment program. She left the company for a little while in pursuit of other endeavors but after a break of about a year and a half has since returned. Currently, she is focusing on employee engagement and ensuring that through employee feedback, AmeriCU continues to make strides to be an employer of choice in the Central NY area. Most recently, she has also taken action to become more involved with the Mohawk Valley SHRM. On a personal note, Alina migrated to Utica, NY from Belarus when she was 9 years old. This move shaped who she is today by instilling in her strong work ethic, high moral values and a high level of responsibility. She enjoys spending time with her family, spending time outside; walking, hiking and being by any body of water. She particularly enjoys traveling and tries to visit one new place per year that she has not yet been to. She is also an active member of Slavic Pentecostal Church. Join us in congratulating Alina on today's member spotlight!
