Americold aims to contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy, and one of the ways we do this is by adding on-site renewable energy. Our Algeciras site in Spain recently completed a new solar installation. A total of 800 solar panels have been installed that will generate 3750,000 kWh of energy! ☀️ That’s enough energy to power 34 homes for an entire year! Congratulations, to the Algeciras team!

Our team in Argentina recently donated used cold storage clothing that is no longer suitable for work to a local non-profit organization. Teammates volunteered to repair, sew, and pack the clothing to donate to homeless individuals and families in their area. Thank you to our associates in Argentina for embodying our core values of teamwork and giving back!

As a trusted partner in the temperature-controlled supply chain, Americold strives to provide the very best in customer service, logistics, and transportation solutions. Deeply understanding our customers’ supply chains helps us do that. Jasmina Stjelja, a sales manager from the APAC business development team, recently spent an entire day in a warehouse working hands-on to learn the business from the inside. Jasmina helped deliver boxes with Linfox to better appreciate and learn the challenges and nuances of the delivery process, and to ensure Americold can provide even more tailored and effective solutions to meet our customers’ needs.
