About us
American Health Communities is a network of 29 senior living and rehabilitation centers in Tennessee and north Alabama. Senior care is the heart of our business. Our patient-centered teams help improve quality of life by providing excellent care in spacious, comfortable living spaces. We work hard to create a sense of community for residents and their families. Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Comprehensive care helps speed recovery for those who recently had surgery, suffered an injury, or need complex care after a medical emergency, such as a stroke or heart attack. We offer inpatient rehabilitation and therapy six to seven days a week. Long-Term Residential Care Around-the-clock staffing provides high-quality, compassionate care to residents who can no longer be cared for at home. Long-term care residents receive assistance with basic life functions such as getting out of bed, dressing, bathing, eating and managing medications.

Join us in promoting Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month for the entirety of June. Brain health is a pivotal part of our overall well-being that is often overlooked. We encourage you to take time this month to focus on your brain health. This can be done by increasing exercising, cutting out smoking, improving your diet, and educating yourself to make better decisions.

This past Saturday, American Health Communities were proud event sponsors of the Alzheimer’s Tennessee's Middle Tennessee Walk in Franklin, Tennessee. Our "Memory Keepers" Walk Team raised more than $6,000 and, combined with our sponsorship, donated over $8,000 to help helping families impacted by the disease and support for Alzheimer’s research and care. As compassionate frontline caregivers, we know the toll dementia can take on a family. So, our team laced up their sneakers and helped spread Alzheimer’s awareness as the disease affects millions worldwide. Together, we can make a difference for those living with Alzheimer’s and their families. Every step we take brings us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s. We’re also proud of our brilliant designer, Alexis Higgins – our Memory Keepers T-shirt won first place in the design contest. #Walk2EndAlz #KnowAlzheimers #WorldAlzMonth

“It’s very important for seniors to get the appropriate care they need,” Lisa Hogan, Assistant Vice President of Operations at Unity Psychiatric Care, said at the Continuum Conference. “Sometimes the caregivers are so exhausted and they mentally have not addressed issues that they [may] have, so they’re not functioning at capacity. It’s super important that we follow up, that we do patient education and family education and provide community events.” https://lnkd.in/gEmZCM23
