These will be some big shoes to fill.

After more than 14 years as NC State’s chancellor, Randy Woodson announced today that he will retire at the end of his current contract on June 30, 2025. The University of North Carolina System will lead a search for a successor. “For 14 years, Randy Woodson has perfectly captured the pragmatic brilliance of NC State,” said UNC System President Peter Hans. “Like the university he leads, Randy is sharp, good-natured, and eager to get things done for North Carolina. It’s made him a great colleague and one of the most effective leaders in this state.” Chancellor Woodson’s tenure has been marked by vast improvements to NC State’s academic measures, research expenditures, entrepreneurial spirit, financial and facility growth, and overall reputation. “Charlotte has great restaurants!” That is what Emily Zeltmann and Kelicia Dix said about their visit to the Queen City this week. Two of American Engineering’s engineers from our Chesapeake, VA office spent the week collaborating with their teammates in Charlotte.   “We missed our families this week, but it was an adventure visiting a new city, getting to know some new colleagues, and while being treated to great meals, and a first-class hotel.”   Creating internal networks is an important part of career development at American Engineering. To grow as individuals, and feel connected throughout the company, we encourage staff to occasionally spend a few days in one of the other offices. This has the added benefit of bringing in additional resources to help with project deadlines. We remain committed to working together as One Company. #Americanea #Civilengineering  #Collaboration
