The Allstate #SugarBowl will present six local student athletes with a $10,000 Women in Sport Scholarship! This year's recipients are Kayla Benedic (Pope John Paul II), Camryn Chatellier (St. Mary's Dominican High School), Nadia Jones (Louise S. McGehee School), Jaeshaun Martin (Riverdale High School), Addison Riddell (Lakeshore High School), and Zoe Zechenelly (Pearl River High School). Honorees were selected by the New Orleans Sports Awards Committee based on their athletic and academic success as well as their involvement in community service. The scholarship checks will officially be presented at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Sports Awards Banquet to be held on Saturday, August 3, in New Orleans. Read More: https://lnkd.in/ggFsEYUm

The Allstate #SugarBowl will lead a new era of college football as it hosts a College Football Playoff Quarterfinals game as part of the newly-expanded 12-team College Football Playoff! The game will continue in its traditional New Year's Day prime time slot (Jan. 1, 2025, 7:45 p.m. Central) in the iconic Caesars Superdome! The games will be televised nationally on ESPN. The Allstate #SugarBowl Chapter of the National Football Foundation held its 2024 Awards Luncheon recently at the Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans. The highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners of five college scholarships from the Allstate Sugar Bowl.   Thirty-two local high school football players were recognized for their achievements in the classroom, in the community and on the football field. From that group of 32, five were selected to receive Allstate Sugar Bowl Scholarships: four for $10,000 and one for $20,000 each. The scholarship winners were chosen based on essays submitted after being notified of their selection as scholar-athletes.
