Don't miss this call to action by VP and Head of Investments of Visa Foundation Najada Kumbuli and Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Bootstrap Europe Stephanie Heller (Galantine). The authors describes a [very large] tip of the iceberg when it comes to women's growing economic power and the need for action to fully capture the moment: "A significant shift in generational wealth is occurring. A recent study estimates that by 2030, women are poised to control roughly $30 trillion in personal wealth, marking a significant increase from the estimated $10 trillion owned today. Over the next few years, more women will be in positions to influence where to invest and how to allocate capital. For organizations trying to reimagine more inclusive capital markets and investment ecosystems, this shift presents a turning point to help advance systemic change." According to the Amazon Housing Equity Fund 2024 Impact Report, “Working with the public sector, nonprofits, the development community, and private sector organizations, we have exceeded our original goal. In just three and a half years, the Fund has committed over $2.2 billion in low-rate loans and grants to create or preserve over 21,000 affordable homes”. We applaud Amazon and all the organizations and developers who work collaboratively to combat the ongoing #affordablehousing crisis in the Puget Sound, National Capital, and Nashville regions. It is inspiring to see Atrium Court project featured on the cover of the annual report for the impact investment arm of the world’s largest online retailer. Access the Amazon Housing Equity Fund Impact Report: https://lnkd.in/eck_74tq The Atrium Court development project in progress in Seattle, WA’s multi-cultural Othello neighborhood will create a lasting positive #socialimpact for this resilient neighborhood. With the construction of 271 new high-quality rental units, residents will have access to affordable housing at a time when both purchasing and renting have become increasingly out of reach. Today, Allivate Impact Capital’s Managing Director, Daniel Rodrigo Galindo, MBA was a featured speaker for a fireside chat with other financial leaders to discuss how to appeal to investors, align on impact requirements, and drive mutual value generation on deals. Flexible capital is crucial to #CDFIs and as it is hard to access, the industry needs to be agile and innovative to provide solutions. This interactive session is part of the Opportunity Finance Network Small Business Finance Forum in Chicago. Members of our organization's Community Development Team (Nisha Floyd, Andrew Rabuck, and Jesus Cisneros) also participated in the event which brings together mission-driven small business lenders, partners, and advocates for learning and networking that help elevate #smallbusiness owners across the nation to succeed. #accesstocapital #SBFF To discuss opportunities to collaborate with our award-winning team visit: https://lnkd.in/gnCxMdsq.

Last week our CEO, Noelle St.Clair Lentz, was a guest speaker on the Interagency Forum for Developers of Color hosted by Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The forum provided strategies to help #smallbusiness owners and #affordablehousing developers build capacity. Noelle is shown here with C3 Impact Fund representatives Executive Director, Tiffany Taylor, and Loan Officer, Aloni Harris, and Jesus Cisneros, Community Development Relationship Manager, Woodforest National Bank. During the forum C3 Impact Fund and Woodforest were highlighted for their collaboration to support #BIPOC developers in the West Woodland community in South Chicago. This initiative stabilized a blighted block filled with vacant land to bring wealth to the community, create 200 skilled jobs, and provide 18 units of quality workforce rental housing. During the event, Noelle also shared highlights of our team’s award-winning work with CEI-Boulos Capital Management in the Sharswood neighborhood in Philadelphia through an innovative collaboration with minority-owned development firm, Mosaic Development, LLC, and Shift Capital. The project provides 234,000 square foot mixed-use development, 98 mixed-income rental units, and 45,000 sq. ft. of retail space including Grocery Outlet, an urgent care facility, a bank branch, and two restaurants.
