It’s an honor to congratulate Jacob from Reno as our July 2024 All Star Pro! All Star Professional is a recognition program for team members who are selected by the Executive Leadership team. Their work exemplifies our core values- Honest, Helpful, Capable, Driven, and Enthusiastic. Jacob started with All Star Rents in January of 2015 as an Equipment Attendant in Reno. After moving to California he started working for our Sacramento location as an Equipment Attendant in September of 2018. He was then promoted to the Inside Sales position in January of 2019. Jacob eventually returned to our Reno location in November of 2019 to be an Inside Sales Rep where he remains today! Jacob is thankful for the equipment knowledge he has gained since starting with ASR. He’s able to listen to customers needs and provide solutions. Getting instant gratification from solving customer needs or repairing equipment is what he enjoys most with ASR. Jacob said he’s surprised how much he enjoys working with customers and the different equipment, stating “it’s never the same day twice.” Jacob’s core values are striving for constant improvement, accountability, value teamwork, and receptiveness. The best advice he’s ever received is “Don’t be a number, be a name.” Jacob’s favorite memory during his time with ASR has been setting timelines and executing the pick-up of equipment from Burning Man which calls for a lot of teamwork and sometimes multiple trips: it’s a well oiled machine. His supervisor Martín says Jose has great work ethic, always stays busy, is reliable, honest, punctual, and overall is a great team player. Jose is thankful to have learned how to operate excavators, loaders, and forklifts during his time at ASR. His favorite memories are working with his team in San Rafael and all of them helping each other out.
