MASA Chips switched to an Alia popup. It increased their total signups by 3.2x 🤩 MASA, the flagship product of Ancient Crunch, was launched in July 2022. The company, founded by Steven Rofrano and Seth Goldstein, has sold well over 250,000 bags and achieved the status of the best-selling chip SKU at Erewhon. 🔥 My favorite quote from their team regarding Alia: “I was only hesitant [about Alia] because setting up new tools is always a pain, but the team held our hand every step of the way.” Something else pretty sweet - after a shopper signed up through Alia, there was a 29% same-session purchase rate. MASA's been crushing signups and new site visitor purchases since they switched, maybe it's time for you to switch too 👀 (case study linked below)

Scaling D2C wellness brands | Sells orgasms for a living

I think D2C founders (specially Shopify) are looking at their tech-infra the wrong way. When I was leading performance at MyGlamm | Good Glamm Group (seems like an eternity ago), the company had insane tech-overheads. I did not understand at the time, but to even think that a startup making less than $200k in monthly revenue was spending upwards of $50k in tech & product salary costs is MIND-BLOWING 🤯. I remember our AWS fees alone was $10k/month types. But here's what happened after that. We scaled. Quickly. We went from $200k in MRR to $1.2M in less than 1 year. And our tech & salary costs? they remained the same. Their investment in their tech infra and talent paid off big time, because if it was not for this infra, we would have never been able to scale that quickly. While I understand that the current funding environment for D2C is not supportive enough to invest this heavily in tech, it's not even required (anymore) tbh. We're in the golden era of Shopify innovation. D2C founders who do not capitalize on this are going to be left behind. Marketers that do not recognise this are going to be left behind too. Today, - if you want a subscription service, you can get it for <$99. - if you want a product recommendation engine, you don't have to hire a data scientist who charges 60 lakhs a year. - if you want a loyalty program, all you need to spend is <$200/m - if you want a shoppable commerce tool, it's literally pay-per-view But inspite this, the current sentiment is, that adding shopify tools massively increases overheads and most founders are reluctant to keep increasing this fixed cost. but can you PLEASE stop looking at these tools as your cost-line but as your profit centre instead? These same founders who will not invest $100 on a tool that could increase their conversion rates form 0.8% to 1% will increase their ad budgets at the drop of a hat to increase their revenues. Just because the Gods of tech have smiled upon us and given us Shopify along with it's suite of plugins, does not mean that you can ignore the fact that you do not have a dedicated product & tech team. These plugins ARE your tech team. And they sure as hell cost a lot less. TL;DR, the opportunity cost of not investing in the right Shopify tools is much greater than the cost of using them. If you're a D2C growth marketer/founder - what are your favourite Shopify plugins that you think you cannot live without? I'll go first. Mine are Klaviyo + Alia (everyone knows Klaviyo but Alia is our dark horse. we increased our email revenue by 30% and overall revenue by 12% within 30 days of switching to Alia.)

Our popup drove +$100K for Urban Smokehouse. One month before, their previous popup drove only $5K ⤵ Urban Smokehouse is a dope company that enables customers to make things like ribs and brisket in minutes, instead of hours. In just two years since launching, Andrew Buehler has quickly grown the company to over 7-figures in revenue. 😎 Andrew was hesitant to use our popup at first. Here's my favorite quote from him regarding this hesitancy: "Within a few weeks our popup went from an insignificant portion of our revenue to a major portion of it. I went from a disbeliever of its success to an advocate of it within 3 weeks." At Alia, we are a reimagined popup experience that rewards shoppers for learning more about a company’s story and products. For Urban, the popup redirects shoppers to Alia on the bottom right of their Shopify store where shoppers learn more about Andrew’s story transitioning out of finance into BBQ and then a bit more about their meat and products. Take a look below at how Alia works on Urban Smokehouse ⤵ (feel free to reach out to me on DM if you want to increase revenue from your popup 👀)

Our goal is to grow ARR by 5% every week. We've been crushing that and are growing at an avg of 15% 😆 So yes, that's how we structure our goals for growth - to grow at 5% (compounding from what was gained last week) every week for the remainder of 2024. And this 5% ARR goal only gets harder week over week because of the fact that we are aiming to grow at 5% on the compounded ARR figure. Absolutely massive shoutout to Cory Gill for having us really focus on ARR as our most important metric. Achieving at least 5% growth each week has become our north star and allows us to focus on both growing our base of clients and keeping churn low. And it's not a vanity or fluffy metric. It's literally the most important metric to a bootstrapped company -- how much money we're making each week. We've grown 93.53% over the past 6 weeks. I have a feeling that we'll keep our growth exponential for a long time 🤠

"By far the greatest app I've used on Shopify yet." "You're simply missing out on cash if you don't have Alia." This review is probably one of my favorites that we've received so far for Alia. Being able to make store owners genuinely happy is the reason I love being a builder. 🤗 I'm super thankful I get to work with amazing brands all day long and be actually impactful for their revenue. Can't wait to keep helping brands grow and hopefully get more reviews like this one 😄

Scaling D2C wellness brands | Sells orgasms for a living

As founders, it's important to optimize for our time and maximize our ROI on our inputs. Recently, I was able to increase my D2C website's annual revenue by minimum 12-15% by spending just 30-60 minutes on solving one single problem. Last week, I promised to do a public experiment on my website Manzuri with one single goal in mind. => To reduce the time it takes a user to make their first purchase from us, from their first time on our website. The results are out. Here's what we achieved: 1. Revenue per (subscribed) user increased from Rs. 127 per user to Rs. 535 per user. 2. Popup fill % increased from 4% to 11%. 3. % of people redeeming welcome code and making their first purchase increased from 7% to 20%. 4. Daily revenue from popup increased by 250% (yes, even I can't believe it). 5. AOV (from popup) increased from Rs. 2900 to 3100 for the first time in 3 years. 6. Session to redemption rate increased from 0.3% to 1%. TL;DR The number of welcome code redemptions we used to get in 7 days, we now get in 3 days, with the SAME number of website visitors. That's wild. I am honestly shocked at these numbers and had to cross check them multiple times myself to be sure. But our total revenue in the past 10 days is up by 20%+ and we've made 0 changes anywhere else + we have all this beautiful data to support the revenue increase. What did we do differently? I'm linking my previous post in comments and you can see for yourself. Or even better, you can head over to our website and check out the coolest popup in town. Tag a D2C founder/ growth leader whom this may be relevant for.

Our non-traditional popup drove over $100K in 30 days for Urban Smokehouse 😎 At Alia, our popup is focused on customer education. So, Andrew Buehler (Founder & CEO of Urban) is able to educate his new site visitors through the Alia popup. Andrew educates his site visitors on his founding story and the 'why' of his company. Being able to tell his story through a popup has a significant impact on his D2C revenue. Comment 'Alia' and I'll send over our popup playbook (used to generate over $100K in a month) to your dms. ⤵ #eCommerce #eCommerceTips #eCommerceTrends #eCommerceStrategy #eCommerceMarketing #eCommerceGrowth #D2C #DirectToConsumer #D2CBrand #D2CMarketing #D2CStrategy
